About this role

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

The Google Shopping Solutions (GSS) Go-to-Market (GTM) team, manages all aspects of strategy and operations, building the necessary infrastructure to support the Google Shopping Sales team, which operates as a standalone business within Google on Shopping in EMEA. We collaborate with Marketing, Finance, gTech, Legal, and Shopping Engineering, to ensure that we provide Account Managers (AMs) and their Leadership team with the best possible operations and technical solutions. Working in GSS GTM means to work both operationally and strategically, we own projects end-to-end from idea through implementation to landing. We set our own priorities without direction or decisions from global teams. We provide our business partner Google Shopping Solutions with Sales Programs, Product Expertise, the right KPIs and scalable infrastructure that powers all business aspects from day-to-day customer-facing interactions, to portfolio management, strategy building and KPI reporting, compliant with current and future European Commission (EC) regulations.

In this role, you will work in an entrepreneurial environment, comfortable with fluid decisions, unprecedented ambiguity, and a breadth of responsibilities in a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the GSS regular Shopping Ads and Performance Max (PMax) strategy, including market analysis, client collaboration, and alignment with GSS objectives.
  • Project manage strategic initiatives from ideation to launch, encompassing work plans, analysis, implementation, and ongoing optimization.
  • Design and operationalize KPIs, integrating them into business cadences and conducting regular reviews. Drive operational excellence by designing business reports, developing standardized sales narratives, and proposing incentives to drive product adoption and achieve goals.
  • Facilitate effective change management by communicating with key stakeholders, anticipating and managing objections, and ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams like Finance, Marketing, and Analytics to drive initiatives and ensure compliance.
