Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience with systems automation, and with systems design and implementation of software, or tool development.
• 5 years of experience with technical infrastructure (e.g., deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting), and with reliability of technical infrastructure.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• 2 years of experience with software design and architecture, preferably in a cloud infrastructure provider environment.
• Experience testing, maintaining, and launching software products/infrastructure.
• Experience with debugging, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues in complex distributed systems.
• Experience with compute technologies.
• Experience with low level system software, OS, firmware, low level networking, or hardware.
• Excellent system building skills.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute significantly to the strategic goal for the Hybrid and On-premises Infrastructure business by assisting in defining, delivering architecture, and roadmap initiatives.
• Work with peer engineers and managers within Google teams and external partners to influence product and team roadmap.
• Contribute to customer advocacy by understanding user needs and help to deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
• Support the team in maintaining and enhancing product, engineering, operational, and support excellence to ensure reliable and high-performance operations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of new product initiatives.
