Primary Responsibility / Summary

The Warehouse Person receives and warehouses product and materials delivered to the Commissary. This location is at the Los Angeles Air Force Base, 483 N. Aviation Blvd, El Segundo, 90245.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Receives incoming merchandise in efficient, timely and safe manner.
  2. Operates forklift and other material handling equipment.
  3. Stages all incoming merchandise in designated areas to ensure easy access by stockers.
  4. Maintains warehouse in clean, organized and orderly condition.
  5. Performs daily inspection of material handling equipment and maintains equipment in good working order.
  6. Locates and moves materials and product between work areas of the Commissary to expedite stocking of goods, according to predetermined schedules and priorities, and keeps related records.
  7. Use independent judgement within the framework of the government's contract requirements.
  8. Interacts cooperatively with Government Commissary personnel and customers.
  9. Immediately advises supervisor when Government staff directs changes in contract requirements.

 

Education & Experience       

  • 1 year of forklift experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
