eCommerce Shipping Specialist

Summary of Position

To assist in the overall operation of the eCommerce store, including accepting and processing donations, assisting online customers, shelving and shipping orders. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Adheres to the assigned work schedule and punctuality are an essential function of the job.
• Ensures work areas are maintained and organized.   Work areas are cleaned at the end of each day. Maintains cleanliness in storage and production areas.
• Maintains a positive, team-oriented relationship with management, peers, and subordinates.
• Efficiently package all items for shipment. In an accurate and timely fashion ship out all sold product to the correct customer.
• Locate and collect all orders for shipping.
• Handle all customer service related to order fulfillment including but not limited to, requests for tracking information, local pick-up requests and combined shipments.
• Maintains the shipping supply inventory and generate requests proactively to restock supplies.
• Maintain a records database tracking shipping costs and quantity of parcels shipped.
• Maintains and assures safety in work areas.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
• Meets goals and fulfills responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Must be able to multi-task to meet daily production quotas.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and follow directions in English.

 Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to stand, bend and twist for eight hours.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles.
