About this role

Job Summary:

To ensure all diagnostic services are scheduled with a high degree of accuracy.  To make sure all incoming orders are scanned and visible in the patient’s chart.  To maintain a working relationship with providers/departments/patients to ensure the test ordered is the appropriate service with the appropriate diagnosis.

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Schedule all diagnostic services with a high degree of accuracy and customer service.
  2. Answer phone calls from patients/offices/departments, answering questions they may have in regards to scheduling process or testing information. Also answer informational calls from different areas and patients that are transferred.
  3. Cancel and Reschedule testing requested by patient or provider with accuracy.
  4. Enter all Incoming Orders into EPIC.
  5. Upload faxes/orders into appropriate patients chart.
  6. Work the scheduled orders WQ on assigned day.
  7. Work assigned WQ’s checking WQ at least 1x per day.
  8. Maintains a working relationship with Provider offices and Hospital departments to ensure test ordered is the appropriate service with the appropriate diagnosis.
  9. Retrieve Voicemails left by patients/providers/departments, return calls as needed.

Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:

  1. Scan documents into patients chart (referral and media tab).
  2. Check emails throughout the day for Pre
  3. cert & Scheduling Department (Pre
  4. cert will send emails when patients don’t have an approval and need to be rescheduled)
  5. Work with Manager and Supervisor on issues with scheduling or referral creation if needed.
