Marcus by Goldman Sachs
As the online consumer banking business of Goldman Sachs, Marcus operates as a digital bank, providing high-yield savings accounts and Certificates of Deposit (CDs) directly to individual consumers. Marcus combines Goldman Sachs' 150+ years of expertise with intuitive digital experiences, focusing on value, transparency, and simplicity for its millions of customers, and is recognized as the largest pure online bank, delivering a fully digital experience without physical branches
Key Responsibilities
Back-End Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java , Spring Boot etc.
- Implement business logic, database interactions, and integrations with third-party services.
- Optimize application performance and ensure scalability.
Front-End Development:
- Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue.js).
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement designs and ensure a seamless user experience.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
Database Management:
- Design and manage relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
- Write efficient queries and optimize database performance.
DevOps and Deployment:
- Collaborate with DevOps to deploy applications in cloud environments
Testing and Debugging:
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality.
- Debug and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
