Summary:

The Deputy Project Manager (DPM) will support Program Managers in overseeing a portfolio of projects while also performing advanced financial analysis to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making. This role includes responsibility for budget development, financial forecasts, variance analysis, and reporting to ensure projects meet performance, cost, and compliance objectives.  

We are seeking an experienced candidate with experience within the DoD and other Federal agencies, particularly in healthcare (clinical), medical solutions, behavioral health, program management, and related administrative support. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist Program Managers in overseeing project operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effective resource management
  • Daily interaction with the program teams, operations, finance, HR, payroll, and other functional teams regarding contract financial health and monitoring
  • Assist Project Transition Team in contract setup as directed
  • Support and attend monthly financial status calls with President and Vice President of Operations, internal accounting and Program Managers (as required)
  • Support Goldbelt Glacier Health Services, LLC and Taku Health Services, LLC daily accounting OPTEMPO
    • Invoicing
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
  • Perform cost/price analysis and variance analysis to identify trends and recommend corrective actions
  • Lead initiatives to streamline and automate financial processes, implement advanced analytics tools, and enhance reporting capabilities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making
  • Support invoice life cycle management, including reconciliation and deficiency reporting
  • Provide a monthly Invoicing Deficiency Report for the VP of Operations and Program Managers with weekly touchpoints as required
  • Create and maintain financial dashboards
  • Ensure adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other applicable compliance standards
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely financial data
  • Assist with proposal pricing strategies, cost narratives, and financial modeling for new business opportunities

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; technical writing skills required for documentation development
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and execute tasks with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, etc.) and experience with financial modeling tools
  • Familiarity with government contracting processes and systems such as Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), FAR/DFARS compliance, and cost accounting standards

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Government Contractor supporting financial analysis, dashboards, contract management
  • Ability to favorably pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Tableau, SQL, Qualtrics

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually.
