If you’re excited by this role, <strong>we encourage you to apply!</strong></p></div><p><strong>The role</strong></p> <p>We’re looking to hire a Payment Operations (PayOps) Analyst to join our team in Riga. You will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of our critical payment processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant reconciliation and transaction handling across the globe. Payment Operations is a core part of GoCardless, ensuring money gets from A to B every day.</p> <p>This is an opportunity to get an excellent understanding of the Payments industry and to build your knowledge of bank payments across the world. You will learn how to navigate issues and bring them to resolution while being trained and supported by our growing Operations team in Riga.</p> <p><strong>What excites you&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensuring timely, accurate and compliant payment processing and taking care of any manual interventions required</li> <li>Being responsible for reconciling our transaction movements to our bank account statements ensuring any anomalies are reported promptly</li> <li>Reviewing, processing and where appropriate challenging chargebacks, including evidence gathering and manual submission</li> <li>Responding to tickets and ad-hoc queries from internal stakeholders about payment statuses</li> <li>Interacting with a number of different teams globally such as Customer Support, Risk and Compliance, Product and Engineering, to tackle our account reconciliations and customers' payment queries</li> <li>Interacting also with external parties such as banks and suppliers to resolve issues</li> <li>Raise, participate in and lead incidents that affect payment processing and/or reconciliation, ensuring no breaches of our customer, banking partner, scheme or regulatory commitments</li> <li>Participating in a scheduled on-call rotation to resolve critical payment incidents</li> </ul> <p><strong>What excites us&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Exceptional attention to detail</li> <li>Curiousness to learn and courage to ask questions</li> <li>Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and switch between them effortlessly</li> <li>Sense of ownership and desire to proactively fix problems when they occurs</li> <li>Excellent English written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Strong analytical skills and ability to identify where improvements are needed</li> <li>You're comfortable with out-of-hours work on an occasional, scheduled basis.</li> <li>Previous experience in a corporate environment is beneficial</li> </ul> <p><em>*Please note, this is a hybrid role based in our Riga office, with a requirement to be onsite 3 days per week, working core hours of 10:00 - 19:00 EET.</em></p> <p>We don’t expect you to meet every requirement. If you’re excited by this role, we encourage you to apply.</p> <p><strong>Base salary range: €1,867-€2,800/month gross</strong></p> <p>Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data.&nbsp; Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the <strong>minimum and the mid-point (€1,867-€2,333/month gross)</strong> of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role.
