Supports OUC-IT by monitoring, managing, & optimizing the 911 data center’s physical infrastructure.  Provides expertise to redesign the 911 data center/RF antenna sites as required based on industry standards. <br><br> </div><div> <strong>Complete Description</strong>:<br>The OUC needs to hire a resource that will be accountable for evaluating the electrical, environmental, production and network capacity in the 911 emergency centers, associated remote site locations and ongoing operations. This resource will perform an assessment that will encompass identifying risks linked to potential outages affecting critical data, environmental conditions, or electrical services at each location. The assigned resource will consistently update existing risk mitigation strategies and alert protocols for critical routine and emergency maintenance services, supporting all 911 operations locations.  <br><br>CONTRACT JOB DESCRIPTION<br><br>Responsibilities:<br><br> </div><div> <br><br> </div><div>1. Monitor, notify and report electrical power or HVAC-related alerts, promptly reporting any issues that may have impact on the RF antenna site or call floor operations team. <br><br> </div><div>2. Coordinate and collaborate on preventative maintenance or repair activities that could potentially affect the RF antenna sites and call floor operations. <br><br> </div><div>3. Create all infrastructure change requests related to upgrades or preventative maintenance that might influence call floor operations and provide guidance to call center operations managers. <br><br> </div><div>4. Generate a weekly report detailing the performance of critical infrastructure. <br><br> </div><div>5. Stay abreast of industry best practices in data center and 911 center operations, identifying any existing gaps. <br><br> </div><div>6. Facilitate necessary failover testing on critical infrastructure and 911 applications between primary and secondary call centers. <br><br> </div><div>7. Monitor and report on any cybersecurity risks affecting the call floor. <br><br> </div><div>8. Monitor and report on server patch management for all servers that support the call floor. <br><br> </div><div>9. Organizes, directs, and manages vendor contract operation support functions, involving multiple complex and inter-related project tasks. <br><br> </div><div>10. Manage data center projects, including coordinating with vendors and contractors, tracking progress, and meeting deadlines. Provide technical guidance and support to ensure successful project implementation. <br><br> </div><div>11. Conducts regular inspections of equipment and daily rounds to ensure optimal performance and reliability. <br><br> </div><div>12. Using existing OUC tools to monitor and analyze electrical power usage, ambient air temperatures, and relative humidity levels in the data center to identify and resolve any issues or inefficiencies. <br><br> </div><div>13. Management and coordination with vendors and contractors to ensure equipment is properly installed, maintained, repaired, and replaced as needed. <br><br> </div><div>14. Develop and implement procedures and protocols for equipment preventative maintenance, emergency response, and disaster recovery. <br><br> </div><div>15. Document and maintain accurate records of all equipment, maintenance activities, and infrastructure changes to all HVAC, . <br><br> </div><div>16. Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical physical infrastructure. <br><br> </div><div>17. Ensure that all work performed within the space is done to high quality and without impact to internal/external customers’ services. <br><br> </div><div>18. Identify improvement areas in existing and next-generation data center designs according to industry standards to address: master planning building architectural systems, constructability and sustainability. <br><br> </div><div>19. Forecasting future requirements to support evolving information technology solutions to support redundant emergency operations. <br><br> </div><div>20. Draft SOW, or review RFPs related to the data center’s design and equipment upgrades <br><br> </div><div>21. Provide relevant feedback for datacenter improvements as required. <br><br> </div><div>22. Provide and enforce the standards by which electrical and mechanical systems including cable management, airflow, and physical security in a critical infrastructure environment are to be operated and maintained. <br><br> </div><div>23. Perform facilitate data center audit for facility infrastructure. <br><br> </div><div>24. Provide technical expertise for root cause analysis and remediation recommendations as required. <br><br> </div><div>25. Investigate incidents involving failures and or interruptions of the IT infrastructure, oversee the resolution and preventative actions to mitigate future occurrences. <br><br> </div><div> <br>Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:<br>Degree in Facilities Management, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. </div> </div>
