<p></p></div><p>As a <strong>Portfolio Ambassador</strong>, you're a known spirits industry expert in the San Diego market. As a leader in the industry, with extensive experience in the San Diego market, you will nurture strong relationships in on-premise accounts through frequent touch points in target accounts, staff training, trade activations, and account visits. This role is ultimately accountable for the growth of the Proximo Spirits brands - premium brands with a deep respect for craft and connoisseurship - in the most desirable on-premise accounts. The ideal PA is an engaging, charismatic, professional, polished, and articulate storyteller. A Portfolio Ambassador should have a strong connection to their market, distributor expertise, a robust and passionate knowledge of spirits categories, and extensive experience in and knowledge of the bartending and mixology community. This is a full-time, salaried position that requires full and open availability, as this job requires a non-traditional schedule (evenings and weekend work). While this is a San Diego-based position, you must be available to travel outside of the designated market upon request, not to exceed 20%.</p>
<p><span style="color: rgb(255, 81, 0);"><strong>PROGRAM ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></span></p>
<p><strong>Trade Outreach & Engagement</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Grow relationships and distribution in a core set of up to 75 influential on-premise accounts (per target account list) through frequent touchpoints</li>
<li>Frequent account visits, staff training, secure new distribution, and gain temporary/permanent menu features</li>
<li>Account focus may include: fine dining, luxury & influencer venues, mixology accounts, iHUB, patios, sports bars, dive bars, nightclubs</li>
<li>Assist with sell-in to increase the distribution and growth of the assigned spirits portfolio</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Education</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Serve as a category knowledge expert for the Proximo Spirits portfolio, heavily focused on agave and whiskey brands</li>
<li>Communicate brand features, benefits, heritage, and equity to bartenders in engaging ways</li>
<li>Train the internal sales force and distributor partners</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Events</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Plan and execute high-energy, local trade activations with bartenders and beverage managers</li>
<li>Execute experientially focused local trade events</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Reporting</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Submit weekly account/KPI activity reports and monthly recaps of all activities</li>
<li>Monitor and report on market trends and competitor activity</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Expense Reports</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Complete, accurate, and timely expense reporting</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="color: rgb(255, 81, 0);"><strong>REQUIRED SKILLS</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Categorical spirits knowledge that can be versioned out for novices and experts alike</li>
<li>Charismatic storyteller</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, including writing and delivering presentations</li>
<li>Deadline-oriented self-starter who is proactive and holds themselves to a high standard of work quality</li>
<li>Ability to interface with the distributor network</li>
<li>Strong influencing and partnering skills</li>
<li>Deep understanding of cocktails and industry trends</li>
<li>Adept at selling and interacting with diverse groups of people</li>
<li>In-depth understanding of the account universe in the assigned market</li>
<li>Deeply connected to and involved in the bartending community of the greater assigned market</li>
<li>Social Media savvy with a solid bartender network</li>
<li>Ability to travel to surrounding areas outside of the assigned market on a semi-regular basis</li>
<li>Experience in budget management</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="color: rgb(255, 81, 0);"><strong>GMR REQUIREMENTS</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Must be 21 years of age or older</li>
<li>Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship</li>
<li>Must have reliable transportation to travel to surrounding markets and make in-market visits while transporting program materials (liquor, POS, etc.)</li>
<li>Working knowledge of computers with average to above average skills in Windows, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Email. Ability to learn new computer programs quickly and efficiently</li>
<li>A degree in a related field preferred (sales and marketing, hospitality management, culinary)</li>
<li>Spirits brand ambassador, liquor sales, bartending, and fine dining background preferred</li>
<li>Previous experience in program management, marketing, field sales, or other related fields preferred</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="color: rgb(255, 81, 0);"><strong>LANGUAGE ABILITY</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Must speak fluent English; preferably bilingual in English and Spanish</li>
<li>Written and conversational knowledge of the English language and grammar</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</li>
</ul>
