Joining its powerful, intuitive platform with its vibrant, distinguished brand, GlossGenius is the ideal combination of a fintech, SMB software, and consumer company all in one.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in translating complex, cross-functional data into actionable insights that directly fuel our revenue growth and operational excellence. You will operate within the central Data Analytics team, providing analytical support to departments across Product, Sales, and Marketing to help drive data-informed decision-making. You will work closely with senior team members to execute analytical projects, contributing to the full lifecycle from data exploration to the final presentation of findings.</p> <p>You will report to the Manager, Data Analytics. You must be commutable to our NYC office and will operate in a hybrid environment. We default to being in-office 3-4 days per week with required attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Define and analyze cross-domain business metrics and KPIs such as customer retention, product utilization, customer growth and satisfaction, and operational efficiency</li> <li>Identify opportunities for optimization and revenue growth through analysis of customer performance data, measuring initiatives’ success, and defining the customer lifecycle</li> <li>Partner with Product by assisting with experimental design, tracking post-launch impact, and providing data-driven recommendations for iteration.</li> <li>Support the Machine Learning team’s ML implementations with guidance on feature development, necessary business-context, and model evaluation</li> <li>Develop, maintain, and share digestible reports and dashboards related to team efficiency, customer lifecycle stages, and various dynamic elements of GlossGenius customers’ needs and behaviors</li> <li>Drive root-cause analyses for cross-domain business metric investigations&nbsp;</li> <li>Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Product, Marketing, and Sales, to understand the commonalities of their data needs and use-cases, bridge knowledge gaps, and hone analytics workflows</li> <li>Provide guidance and support to colleagues on interpreting business metrics, using analytics tools, and reporting impact effectively</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We’re Looking For&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in a highly analytical role or business/revenue operations role, ideally at a D2C or SaaS company</li> <li>Comfort with ambiguous problem-statements and working directly with a variety of technical and non-technical leadership stakeholders</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in SQL</li> <li>Working knowledge of Python</li> <li>A demonstrated self-starter with strong communication and project management skills</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Proficiency developing within data warehouse transformation pipelines, such as with dbt</li> <li>Experience with Hex, Looker, Tableau, or other data visualization tools is preferred</li> <li>Familiarity with CRM and martech tools like Hubspot, Iterable and similar is a plus</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;<strong>Benefits &amp; Perks</strong></p> <ul> <li>Flexible PTO</li> <li>Competitive health &amp; dental insurance options, with premiums partially covered by GG</li> <li>Fertility and adoption benefits via Carrot and Kindbody</li> <li>Generous, fully-paid parental leave policy</li> <li>401k benefit - employees are eligible to contribute starting day 1 of employment</li> <li>Professional Development - employees receive a yearly stipend for approved learning and educational-related expenses</li> <li>Pre-tax commuter benefits</li> <li>Dependent Care FSA</li> <li>Home office support</li> <li>Team Bonding opportunities - as a distributed team, being able to build meaningful bonds both virtually and in person is incredibly important to us! The compensation package offered is dependent upon many factors including skills, experience, location, and education.
