Job Summary

This is a mid-level Structural Engineer responsible for the analysis, design, and coordination of structural systems for a range of building and infrastructure projects. Supports project delivery by preparing calculations, drawings, and technical reports while collaborating with senior engineers, architects, and multidisciplinary teams. Ensures designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements, and contributes to problem-solving, quality control, and constructability reviews throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Work with diverse disciplines in horizontal and vertical structural design delivery, including but not limited to structural, civil, environmental, social, finance, and economics.
  • Coordinate with clients and overseas TYLin offices and partners, as well as local associates.
  • Review engineering design, plans, specifications, and estimates following applicable design codes.
  • Working knowledge of codes such as NSCP, DPWH DGCS, ASBI, PCI, AASHTO, ACI, AISC, etc.
  • Assist in ensuring that drawings, calculations, and designs are by the company's production and design standards and strengths, and follow Quality Assurance and Control procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of project data for schedules and assist in preparing schedules and budgets to monitor progress reports.
  • Ability to provide quality control/quality assurance to ensure deliverables are of high quality and on time.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required, Master's preferred.

  • Must be a registered professional engineer in the Philippines or a member of the International Engineering Charters or Organizations.

  • 5+ years’ experience in the design of bridges, railways, and other infrastructure projects.

  • Familiarity with bridge and building design provisions of the Philippines, such as NSCP, DPWH DGCS, BSDS, and equivalent international codes and standards.

  • Shall have solid project management skills, client relationship management, and be adept in vertical and horizontal engineering principles and code.

  • Requires knowledge of engineering principles and industry standards.

  • Knowledge of structural design software such as MIDAS, CSI, STAADPro, etc.

  • Travel may be required.

  • Must possess communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective project team collaboration and relationship building.
