We are currently looking for General Operatives (GO’s) to join our fast-growing, innovative team. The successful candidates will support production activities and assist skilled operatives in the manufacturing of aluminium & glass components and structures.

Key Responsibilities
· Assist with the preparation of materials for fabrication processes including cutting, welding, and assembly
· Load and unload materials from machinery and transport items around the workshop
· Perform basic machine operations under supervision once trained
· Carrying out general tasks assigned by the Production Manager/Supervisor/Team Leads
· Move raw materials, work-in-progress items, and finished goods
· Sort, stack, and store materials according to specifications
· Assist with stock control and inventory management
· Clean and maintain workshop equipment and machinery
· Remove waste materials and scrap metal for recycling or disposal
· Support the team with general housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe working environment
· Follow instructions from supervisors and team leaders
· Communicate effectively regarding workflow, materials, and any issues that arise
Experience
· Some experience in using power tools/drill an advantage
· Experience working within a fast-paced factory environment an advantage

Work Environment
Machine shop environment will require the use of industrial hearing protection and/or other protective equipment.

Gunn Lennon Fabrications Ltd. (GLF ) supplies specialist design, fabrication and installation services to the construction industry. It designs, manufactures and installs high specification metal and glass facades in Ireland and the UK. GLF is a Specialist Contractor and competes for premium curtain walling and glazed façade contracts. It provides curtain walling, architectural cladding, roof glazing, commercial windows and doors to such buildings as commercial offices, universities and pharmaceutical / healthcare facilities.
In 2017 the company moved to a new fabrication plant providing over 2,700 m² of factory space along with large secure storage areas. New two-storey offices provide modern facilities for design, engineering and production planning.
