Glanbia Performance Nutrition is a wholly owned subsidiary of Glanbia headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois. GPN manufactures and markets the full range of performance nutrition products including protein, pre-workout, muscle gainers and general health. Products are sold through a variety of channels including specialty retail, the internet and gyms in a variety of formats including powders, bars and Ready-to-Drink beverages. GPN has a global and expanding footprint with a current in-market presence in 24 countries.

Job/Project Summary: Be a key contributor to the GPN team as a Supply Chain Intern.

Learning Objectives:

• Build understanding of the end to end supply chain
• Applied learnings across disciplines within Product Supply and our Commercial organizations
• Collaboration and project management skills

Expected Outcomes:

• Intern team project and final project presentation
• Strong Team collaboration
• Active participation in intern activities

Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent): Job duties would include, but not be limited to:

• Support Production Planning for a small category
• Support Demand Planning for a small category
• Support Materials Planning for a specific ingredient category
• Support Order management work with GPN Customer base with direct linkage to distribution and transportation execution

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current junior pursuing a bachelor's degree majoring in Supply Chain or a related field  
• Experience building and maintain relationships within a team
• Clear written communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Self-starter and highly motivated
• Ability to follow through on tasks with minimum direction
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Where and how you will work  

The opportunity will be based in Downers Grove, Illinois.

Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois. This range may not be applicable to other locations. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range.  Annual salary for Illinois - based employees for this role is $22.00 per hour.
