If you are searching for a successful organization with an amazing culture, a company that celebrates it's employees and gives back to the communities we serve, look no further!  Mountain West Bank has been on the Forbes Top 20 list for the past 9 years.  Our parent company, Glacier Bancorp., has total assets of $29.0 billion and shareholder equity of $3.6 billion.  We are a community bank with with the full resources of a larger banking organization.  At this time, we are hiring for an exceptional Credit Analyst I for our Commercial team.  This position may be performed and located in either Coeur d'Alene, ID or Boise, ID.  The Credit Analyst I is responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing credit authorizations, conducting annual credit reviews, evaluating commercial real estate, and supporting portfolio management of the commercial loan portfolio.  The Credit Analyst must adhere to Mountain West Bank's high service standards for both internal and external customers.  All employees must maintain regular and reliable attendance as this is an essential function of the position.

 

This is a full-time, hourly position.  Must be available Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM for a total of 40 hours a week.  Rate of pay depends on experience.  

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare credit authorizations, loan information sheets, and supporting documentation for new and existing accounts.
  • Analyze financial statements and tax returns; identify trends and raise questions based on borrower and industry data.
  • Conduct internal evaluations of commercial real estate and analyze collateral values.
  • Communicate with borrowers to obtain or clarify financial information.
  • Support Relationship Managers with portfolio management tasks.
  • Monitor borrower financial condition and covenant compliance; report significant changes.
  • Maintain service level standards and comply with internal policies and applicable regulations, including BSA, Patriot Act, and OFAC.
  • Participate in bank and community events.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Flexibility to perform additional duties as needed.

About You

REQUIRED SKILS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Associate’s degree or 1 year experience in accounting or financial analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 1+ year of banking experience
  • Experience with Jack Henry systems

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

 

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

 

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position. We offer an extensive benefits package that includes, but is not limited to medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. We also offer a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) plan and paid holidays. PTO accruals begin at .0745 per hour worked for our part time employees up to a maximum accrual of 240 hours per year for certain Full-Time employees. PTO accruals are dependent on position, status (Full time or Part time), and years of experience in accordance with our PTO policy. Most Full-Time employees are also offered 6 paid holidays and Part Time employees are offered pro-rated paid holidays.
