Job Summary

You will develop new business for our company in a field of growing demand and opportunities. You will be given the lead and have the responisibility to initiate and grow certain areas of the military business together with the Business Developement leadership within Governmental solutions. 

Based on GKN current capabilities within manufacturing technologies and design of composites, additive manufacturing and the base of whole system understanding we see opportunities to grow further, making the whole of GKN Aerospace current and future capabilities accessible, towards government and export customers especially but not limited to Europe.

We aim to grow our business and develop our offer in connection to our current position but also in support of contributions to the uncrewed segment. You need to have the ability to successfully interface, understand and drive solutions for the governmental and export customer needs. You will be part of the development of sales strategies and growth plans for these customers. Your position is with the responsible for the Defence Business Development and often you will lead and or work with a team towards a specific target. The position is flexible and you need also to be prepared to both be leading and or contribute as a deployed resource to a team for a specific campaign and or product.

Job Responsibilities

•    Strategic Business development 
•    Highly capable of understanding defence needs in all domains  
•    Strong skills of understanding future military needs in assigned areas linked to necessary capabilities  
•    Determine an forecast the export customers needs  of products and services for several years to come
•    Acts as the BD expert for the product range and identified export markets
•    As a leader you need to support, act  and carry the cultures principles that represents the GKN value´s. You are also part of actively supporting our commitment to maintain a safe workplace for everyone working with us and/or visiting us.   

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
•    Work within Engineering and/or technology development
•    MSc, MBA or equivalent, some experience from Sales, Marketing & Commercial
•    Proven leadership skills, communication and interpersonal skills
•    Experience from work within or close to Armed Forces, Saab 
•    Understanding of operational requirements and differentiated customer needs   
•    Fluent in English
•    This assignment is subject to security clearance 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
•    Frequent travels to governmental/or customer locations. Estimated travel 25-50 %.
•    Any existing personal network within customers organisations preferred. 
•    GKN Engines products experience preferred
