The Financial Controller is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and ensuring strict compliance with accounting, financial, and internal control policies. This role leads financial planning, budgeting, treasury management, and project financial control, while providing reliable and timely financial information to executive leadership. The position also plays a key role in shaping and executing the financial strategy for the Green Valley Manufacturing Hub and the Energy Plant (Park Energy).
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish, update, and ensure strict compliance with accounting, financial, and internal control policies and procedures.
- Coordinate, prepare, and control the annual operating budget.
- Propose, align with, and lead the development and execution of the Park's financial strategy, related projects, and the energy plant.
- Analyze financial results and support the definition, monitoring, and reporting of management performance indicators for Green Manufacturing Hub and Park Energy.
- Implement controls to ensure costs and expenses are strictly necessary and aligned with profitability objectives.
- Supervise the timely execution of tasks within the department, managing team performance, and supporting the professional development of direct reports.
- Ensure that all financial information required by the Presidency and executive leadership is accurate, reliable, and delivered on time.
- Oversee treasury management, including accounts receivable collection, payment scheduling, cash flow planning, and banking relationships.
- Support legal-financial matters related to project evaluation and provide recommendations for action.
Project Financial Management:
- Control and monitor approved project budgets.
- Secure the financial resources required for project execution.
- Monitor project progress and cash flow requirements for both Green Valley and the energy plant.
- Manage procurement for construction projects, ensuring cost efficiency, quality standards, and timely acquisition of required resources.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or controlling roles.
- Previous experience working with ZOLI (Free Zone) companies is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of NIIF (IFRS) standards is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in budgeting, financial planning, treasury management, and financial reporting.
- Experience in project finance, construction projects, energy, manufacturing, or industrial environments is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of accounting standards, financial controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing finance teams.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work with confidential information.
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (written and verbal) are a must.
