Overview

We're looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Revenue Compensation Design Strategy Analyst to join our Revenue Operations team. This role is a crucial part of the Revenue Compensation design team, responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and analysis of our global sales compensation plans. You will be a key partner to the compensation team and sales leadership, helping to ensure our plans are competitive, motivating, and aligned with our strategic business goals. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of compensation principles, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.


Responsibilities

  • Compensation Plan Design & Analysis: Partner with senior team members to model, design, and refine sales compensation plans. Analyze plan effectiveness and performance against key business metrics.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast compensation costs, analyze the impact of potential plan changes, and ensure alignment with the company's financial budget.
  • Performance Reporting: Generate and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track sales performance, commission payouts, and plan attainment. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to sales leadership based on this data.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales Operations, Finance, HR, and Sales leadership to gather requirements, communicate plan details, manage exceptions, and ensure smooth plan execution.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Support the analysis of market data and competitive compensation trends to ensure our plans remain attractive, fair, and effective in the marketplace.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline compensation processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information
    technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field
    sales, or a related field
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance,
      Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in business
      consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account
      management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related
      field
    • OR equivalent experience.

Compensation Range

The base salary range for this job is USD $68,200.00 - USD $181,000.00 /Yr.

These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
