Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a Senior Water Engineer to join our Water Group.
In Western Australia, our 90-year partnership with the water sector has cultivated strong client relationships and a deep understanding of their challenges, equipping us to assist them in preparing for what lies ahead. Our team is very well known for water infrastructure and water resources engineering and science consulting, collaborating with industry leaders like Water Authorities, major mining firms, and Defense, among others. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Preparation of civil and hydraulic engineering calculations for water and wastewater planning and design projects. As an experienced engineer you will have knowledge in the design of water and wastewater transmission, distribution, conveyance and treatment civil infrastructure.
- coordinating resources, oversight of budgets and supervision of timelines to provide quality and timely project completion of multi-disciplinary design teams. Developing Project/Design Management skills to undertake project management training as required.
- Lead or support in the preparation of proposals and delivering presentations to clients to win work.
- working on or being responsible for several concurrent tasks, proposals or projects and therefore ability to manage competing priorities in a professional and proactive manner is highly desirable.
- overseeing and facilitating knowledge sharing including mentoring junior team members.
What you will bring to the team:
- Design experience in water and wastewater transmission, distribution, conveyance and treatment civil infrastructure including pipelines of various materials and sizes, storage facilities, pump stations, etc.
- Hydraulic design expertise including network modelling, pumped systems, gravity sewers and open channel.
- A strong focus on successful delivery and client service.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively both across our business and externally.
- Project Management experience in successfully managing resources, budgets, timelines and quality on medium to large scale projects.
- Experience in helping win work.
- Experience in coordinating and integrating civil design with mechanical, electrical, process, drafting, geotechnical and other disciplines to deliver total system solutions.
- Your ability to provide specialist input into the water and wastewater transmission, distribution and conveyance systems for the municipal, mining, oil & gas and other markets.
- Strong writing skills to produce high quality reports, proposals, etc.

What you'll do
