As our Enterprise Data & AI Leader, the role will guide the strategic vision, governance, and enterprise-wide adoption of AI, analytics, and data capabilities that power the next chapter of GHD’s growth.

This leadership role sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, data management, and organizational change. You will champion responsible AI, unlock enterprise data value, and ensure GHD’s technical and commercial teams leverage modern data and AI capabilities to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

Enterprise Data & AI Strategy

· Develop and lead GHD’s enterprise-wide Data & AI strategy aligned with corporate priorities, market needs, and global transformation programs.

· Identify opportunities to embed AI, automation, and advanced analytics into core workflows, technical delivery, and client services.

· Partner with senior leaders across regions and Service Lines to drive adoption and innovation.

Data Governance & Architecture

· Establish and oversee robust data governance frameworks, ensuring security, compliance, quality, lineage, and accessibility across GHD’s global operations.

· Lead enterprise data architecture, including integration, master data, metadata, and the central data environment supporting analytics and AI initiatives.

· Champion unified data platforms and the modernization of legacy systems.

AI & Analytics Leadership

· Drive the development, evaluation, and deployment of AI and ML solutions—including generative AI, predictive analytics, NLP, computer vision, and automation tools.

· Ensure AI adoption aligns with GHD’s AI Responsible Usage Standards, focusing on ethics, security, transparency, and human oversight.

· Guide teams in operationalizing AI at scale across technical delivery, client engagement, project management, and enterprise functions.

Operational Enablement & Transformation

· Partner with Delivery Transformation teams to embed AI-powered workflows that improve consistency, productivity, and quality across all Service Lines.

· Enable cross-functional teams with data tools, frameworks, reusable components, and best practices to accelerate solution development.

· Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and responsible innovation.

Leadership & Collaboration

· Lead and mentor a diverse team of data engineers, data scientists, AI specialists, and solution architects.

· Collaborate closely with Digital, Advisory, Technical Services, and Enterprise Client Program teams to translate data & AI capabilities into commercial impact.

· Build strong relationships with global stakeholders, external partners, and technology vendors.

Client & Market Impact

· Support client-facing teams by shaping data-driven offerings, helping win work, and positioning GHD as a trusted advisor in AI-enabled engineering and consulting.

· Represent GHD as a thought leader in AI, innovation, and digital transformation in industry forums and client engagements.

What you will bring to the team:

· 10+ years in enterprise data strategy, AI/ML, digital transformation, or related leadership roles. 

· Undergraduate degree in a related field of study. Advanced degree a plus.

· Proven experience architecting modern cloud data platforms (Azure, Fabric, Snowflake) and deploying enterprise AI solutions.

· Demonstrated ability to lead AI governance and deliver secure, scalable AI in regulated environments.

· Strong track record delivering automation and analytics capabilities with tangible business outcomes.

· Executive-level presence and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

· Familiarity with engineering, environmental services, infrastructure, or consulting environments is strongly preferred.
