We're a small team that’s growing quickly—our ARR grew over 10x in 2025—by shipping a strongly differentiated SaaS product.</p> <h2><strong>The Role</strong></h2> <p><strong>Location:</strong>&nbsp;Hybrid — NYC, Portland, Boise, or Bozeman</p> <p><strong>Compensation</strong>: $120k - $175k+ &amp; equity</p> <p>GetWhys is looking for a <strong>Fullstack Software Engineer</strong> to help design and build features for our core application. You’ll work across the stack to ship user-facing functionality, collaborate closely with product and design and help us scale both our product and engineering practices.</p> <p>The role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, moving fast and building real products used by customers.</p> <h2>In this role</h2> <ul> <li>Build high-quality, user facing product experiences end-to-end.</li> <li>You’ll build and maintain scalable web applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript, React and backend services.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with product and design to understand problems and deliver thoughtful solutions.</li> <li>Contribute to architectural decisions as the product and team grows.</li> <li>Help integrate and evolve LLM-powered workflows, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) where appropriate.</li> <li>Write clean, maintainable code and improve developer experience over time.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></h2> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer working on user-facing products.</li> <li>Experience building and shipping production web applications.</li> <li>Comfortable operating in a startup environment with ambiguity and ownership.</li> <li>Familiarity with RAG concepts (embeddings, retrieval strategies, evaluation) is a plus.</li> <li>Experience building or prototyping LLM-powered workflows using foundation models such as OpenAi, Gemini, Anthropic or Deepseek.</li> <li>Startup experience, especially having helped build a product from scratch or early stages.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Benefits</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Healthcare, Dental, and Vision insurance (90% of your deductible, 75% of your dependents’)</li> <li>401(k) with 3% company match</li> <li>Unlimited PTO</li> <li>12 weeks paid parental leave</li> <li>18 company holidays, with unlimited PTO <ul> <li>Our suggested minimum is at least 10 business days of PTO per year.</li> </ul> </li> <li>We’re a historically remote company; NYC, Boise, Bozeman, and Portland are our first hubs, where we’ll have a hybrid office environment. <ul> <li>We’ll always be remote friendly (e.g., no “X days in office”).</li> <li>Regular team- and company-wide in person gatherings.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Ground-floor opportunity to build and lead a critical function at a growing startup</li> </ul> <h2></h2>
