Responsible for supervising the procurement of materials and inventory management. Provide work direction and technical guidance to associates for procurement, inventory management, vendor and customer management, requisition, system(s) administration and maintenance, delivery interface, supply chain issues resolution, order close-out, and related internal controls to reduce risk to GTC. The supervisor is responsible for training and mentoring PAMAs for these functions as well as for compliance with applicable GTC policies, procedures, and other applicable professional standards. Provides review and feedback of purchase orders and contracts for accuracy and completeness. Provides guidance and expertise in negotiations, procurement terms and conditions, bid policies, strategic sourcing, and inventory management. Provides supply chain expertise to other projects and departments, and develops process improvements where needed. Perform PAMA-related activities for assigned commodities. Provides input to management on associates' performance. Assists management in creating the annual budget and monitors expenditures to comply with the approved budget.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Technical or Management degree (Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance, or Management preferred).
Experience: Ten (10) years of procurement experience or related utility experience.
Certifications: Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) strongly preferred
Specialized Skills: Extensive knowledge of all areas and aspects of supply chain management; understanding of the utility industry; strong interpersonal skills & oral and written communications skills.
