We are seeking a Sanitation Department Lead who is responsible for overseeing daily sanitation operations to ensure a clean, safe, and compliant work environment. This role leads by example, supports team members, and helps maintain high standards for cleanliness, food safety, and regulatory compliance. The individual will be thoroughly trained in the Standard Sanitation Operational Procedures (SSOP).
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the sanitation employees during assigned shifts
Create an employee schedule that aligns with production needs
Providing SSOP’s and Checklists to personnel, and provide support
Ensure all equipment, production areas, and common spaces are cleaned and sanitized according to established procedures
Mixing and/or diluting chemicals to ensure proper sanitation
QualificationsRequired
A minimum of 2 years of sanitation supervision experience
A minimum of 1 year experience creating an employee schedule
Knowledge of equipment needing detailed cleaning, taken apart and cleaned (especially in food contact areas) to prevent mold and bacterial build up
Ability to calculate ratio and mixture differences along with being able to read and understand charts and diagrams.
Understand the terminology and concepts of GMP’s, Allergens, HACCP, and Food Safety trainings; certifications a plus
Ability to segregate recycle waste products and operate a garbage compacter, cardboard bailer, and an electrical pallet jack.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Roasting Oil Processing
Computer skills a plus (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and E-mail)
Capable of operating a forklift and manlift.
Chemical titration testing
Work with QA to perform internal audits and create maintenance work request for any issues found during the QA internal audit.
Prior experience keeping track of chemical inventory
