This position supports Electric Boat’s Materials Management and Logistics activities associated with the Electric Boat Supplied Material (EBSM) program across supporting all classes pertaining to Submarine Construction. Your responsibilities would encompass program/project management, data management, project reporting, material availability analysis and expediting, scheduling, make or buy analysis, and metric reporting. You will also be monitoring and resolving issues with purchased or subcontract material, EB manufactured material, material ordering and scheduling, shortage resolution, and forecasting material requirement.
Additionally, you would experience significant interaction with various customers such as the following:
EB Program Offices, Ships Management, Operations, Contracts, Planning Departments, Finance, Design, Engineering, Purchasing, Planning Yard, various Quality Departments, Government Agencies, Newport News Ship Building, and EB Off-Site Departments.
The responsibilities of this role may expand to other special projects as programs develop.
You would require daily use of various reports and computer driven systems.
