Department 411 – Life Cycle Support Programs
Life Cycle Support Programs is the program office for the Hull Planning Yard. In this capacity we are responsible for administering both the OMNIBUS and Spare Parts BOA contracts that provide life cycle support for all active-duty submarine classes. We oversee tasking to design system updates and upgrades, maintain configuration control, provide Integrated Logistics Support documentation, kit and manufacture shipboard alteration packages as well as deliver spare parts to the naval supply system.
Role OverviewAs a D411 Fleet Material Program Representative, you will manage a variety of tasks associated with material support for Ship Alterations. This cross-functional role collaborates with Finance, Contracts, Engineering, Washington Engineering Office, related Program Office roles, as well as SUPSHIP and NAVSEA.
Key Responsibilities
- Balance project budgets and generate financial metrics
- Develop strategic plans & schedule of tasking
- Utilize ARTEMIS to track cost and schedule progress
- Act as a liaison with internal stakeholders and external customers
- Occasional travel is required (including Washington Engineering Office in Washington DC, vendor locations, and off-site EB locations
Qualifications
Required
- Associates degree
- 2+ years’ experience in project management, logistics, or finance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- Occasional travel is required (including Washington Engineering Office in Washington DC, vendor locations, and off-site EB locations
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with Project Management or Data Management
- Experience working with Navy or DoD Contracts
- Experience using EVMS tools that support Project Management
- Experience using ATREMIS
Skills
- Proficiency Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize tasks, multitask effectively, and work independently
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

About General Dynamics Electric Boat
General Dynamics Electric Boat is a business unit of General Dynamics with headquarters in Groton, CT. The world’s first and finest submarine builder, Electric Boat was established in 1899 to complete the U.S. Navy’s first modern commissioned submarine, USS Holland. Designed and built by Electric Boat, USS Nautilus, the world’s first nuclear-powered submarine, was launched in 1954.
