Overview
Electric Boat is seeking an experienced security professional to join our Security Technology & Protections Team. In this hands-on role, you will ensure physical security compliance, oversee advanced electronic security systems, and protect our facilities across multiple locations.
- Maintain compliance with Government and company physical security regulations.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend countermeasures.
- Advise on, install, and maintain integrated electronic security systems.
- Identify and resolve security system deficiencies or malfunctions.
- Develop SOPs, Emergency Action Plans, and coordinate with vendors.
- Represent Electric Boat during security audits and inspections.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 7+ years of corporate security experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance from the DoD (department of defense)
- Ability to travel frequently to various Electric Boat Facilities
Preferred:
- Associate’s Degree in relevant field
- Familiarity with the Electric Boat shipyard, Quonset Point and Offsite Facilities.
- Experience conducting inspections or audits and presenting the results
- Experience administering security education and awareness training
- OSHA 30 for Shipyard Workers.
- Certification in Softwarehouse C-Cure 9000, Milestone X-Protect VMS Platforms, Motorola Avtec SC-220, Barco Smart Walls.
- Architectural drawing review experience.
Skills
- Project management skills.

- Working Knowledge of 009.72 & NISPOM Rule
- OSHA Maritime 30 certification.
- Experience with access control systems and CCTV equipment.
- Ability to travel frequently to various Electric Boat Facilities
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in team environment with minimal oversight.
- Working Knowledge of Standard Item 009.72 & NISPOM
