About this role

Overview

The individual filling this position will analyze financial data related to overhead costs. The successful candidate will support the development of monthly, quarterly and annual reports and analysis needed to inform inputs into the quarterly planning process and forward pricing rates including but not limited to:

  • monthly budget and variance analysis
  • Oracle project creation and maintenance
  • Review of requisitions and invoices for procedural compliance

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Mathematics
  • Experience with excel, including functions, pivot tables, charts, macros and VBA

Preferred: 

  • Data analysis experience
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
  • Experience creating and updating reports in Power BI

Skills

  • This position requires interface with various organizations and all levels of management; good written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn other software such as IBM mainframe, access, Power BI, Oracle and Hyperion
  • Familiarity with EB financial systems
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards 
  • Ability to analyze and draw meaningful conclusions and forecasts from large sets of data
  • Strong critical thinking skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with government contracting including billing, invoicing and escalation
  • Candidates should be adept at computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong commitment to meet deadlines and complete all assigned tasks
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when working with sensitive information
