We currently have openings for contract Field Technicians in our Barrie, Ontario office.
Educational & Experience Requirements:
The Successful candidate will have the following:
- Currently enrolled or recently completed a College Diploma in civil technology or an equivalent program is considered an asset.
- Experience with materials testing and inspection is an asset.
- Experience working in civil construction is considered an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written.
Main Duties:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:
- Laboratory testing of aggregates, soil and concrete.
- Field testing and sampling of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt.
- Compaction testing of subgrade soils, aggregates and asphalt.
- Subgrade and foundation inspections.
- Supervising a drill rig.
- Various office, laboratory, and field tasks related to materials testing.
- Other duties as required.
Position:
- Summer/ Co-op positions starting May 2026
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle.
Pay Range: $20.50-$23.50 CAD per hour
