Job Summary:

Responsible for providing support, education, issue resolution and development of analytical and technical skills within the Workforce Management (WFM) Department. Utilizes innovative thought processes to arrive at solutions. Effectively presents trends and issues in a comprehensive concise format to all levels within the organization. Has an extensive understanding of the business unit and develops and conducts user acceptance testing. Maintains flexibility and adaptability as situations arise within the WFM Department.

Job Duties:

  • Develops and maintains functional and technical expertise in all assigned areas of WFM systems and business operations including but not limited to work/pay rules, union contracts and pay practices throughout Geisinger entities, groups and affiliates.
  • Serves on project implementation, enhancement and upgrade teams with responsibility for specific project assignments including definition of system functionality, capability testing, defining reporting requirements and developing reports and educating team members and end users as needed for area implementing the WFM product suite.
  • Develops and maintains appropriate documentation and/or procedure manuals.
  • Provides recommendations on which WFM guidelines need updated as workflow changes, new WFM product suite functionality or automation of processes occurs.
  • Prepares and presents training to all end users.
  • Maintains analytical and technical skills required for effective use of WFM system features including development of appropriate procedural controls and complete understanding of system features.
  • Utilizes creative insight over and above system capabilities.
  • Reviews and recommends appropriate action on user requests for services, ranging from explanation of WFM systems functionality/activities to the understanding and analysis of user needs, preparation of reports or automation of processes.
  • Works with users to determine reporting requirements.
  • Provides support and direction for application users toward the development of solutions to operational problems while developing end user expertise.
  • Assures compliance with governmental regulations and Geisinger policies pertaining to workforce management.
  • Investigates, analyzes, and compiles data, and develops reports to integrate, extract, and present data in the desired results.
  • Performs trend analyses, projections, and graphical presentations of pertinent results when appropriate.
  • Ensures accuracy and validity of data used in all reports and analyses.
  • Coordinates testing with users and technical staff.
