As a Automotive Buyer at Tucson Subaru, you will play a crucial role in acquiring high-quality pre-owned vehicles for our inventory. You will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing vehicles that meet our standards and market demand. Your keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and in-depth knowledge of the automotive industry will contribute to our success in providing top-notch vehicles to our customers.

 

 

 

Automotive Buyer Job Responsibilities

 

 

 

Identify and source pre-owned vehicles from various channels, including auctions, private sellers, trade-ins, and online platforms.

Conduct thorough inspections and evaluations of potential purchases to ensure they meet our quality standards.

Negotiate purchase prices with sellers to secure favorable deals for Tucson Subaru.

Maintain accurate records of all transactions and vehicle details.

Stay up-to-date with market trends, vehicle values, and industry developments to make informed purchasing decisions.

Collaborate with the sales and service departments to ensure a seamless process for incoming inventory.

Build and maintain relationships with industry contacts to facilitate ongoing vehicle acquisitions.

QualificationsAutomotive Buyer Qualifications

Proven experience as a Car Buyer or in a similar automotive purchasing role.
Strong knowledge of vehicle makes, models, market values, and industry trends.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to perform thorough vehicle inspections.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Proficiency in using automotive industry software and online platforms for sourcing vehicles.

Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

The Gee Automotive Companies began in 1983 when George Gee opened a Pontiac dealership in Spokane, Washington, which quickly became the largest in the state. In 1991, the company added GMC to its offerings, and in 2000, it relocated to new facilities in Liberty Lake, WA.

Under Ryan's leadership, the company now operates 40 dealerships, including the recent additions of Honda World and Olympia Kia Subaru. Additionally, it manages a parts wholesale business, an automotive retail financing arm, an automotive wholesale operation, an off-site sale company, and two Allstate insurance agencies, employing over 2,500 team members focused on exceptional customer service across the Northwest.
