Job Description Summary

As the Project Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customer and local regulatory requirements in the contract will be fulfilled for the quality portion of it. You will be in charge with reporting any deviation against the contract or Project/Outage procedures and work instructions that could affect the
quality conformance of the product and service sold to our Customer.

Job Description

Your Role:

During sales and tendering phase

  • Represents the company for quality related items in the request for quotation 
  • Issues the quality section of the offer, including the Project Quality Plan (PQP) with the applicable standard Inspection and Test Programs (ITP) for the complete scope of the projects

During Execution phase

  • Leads on a functional basis the other quality function in the project (Product Quality Specialists, Site Quality Manager, Supplier Quality Point of Contact...)
  • Prepares and leads the weekly quality teleconference with site and Project Leader (NCR opening, disposed, archived, Client deviations and quality action plan)
  • Holds project quality kick-off meeting(s) with the Customer, project and site teams to ensure that the Project Quality Plan and all quality requirements are communicated and implemented in the project
  • Interfaces and liaises with the Customer for any project quality issues and coordinate relevant action plans within the project
  • Participates to the Customer relationship and attends key Customer meetings Ensures the Customer Experience (CX) process is in place (survey and related actions)
  • Ensures the action plans are prepared and followed for of any quality related issues that may arise on the project
  • Ensures that relevant process and controls are in place to deliver the quality documentation right on time to Customer as defined in the Contract
  • Prepares the quality documentation right on time to Customer as defined in the contract (e.g. NCR reporting, EOMR management…)
  • Deliver and control (governance) the quality documentation right on time to Customer as defined in the Contract
  • Delivers and controls (governance) the Inspection and Test Programs (ITP) to the Customer in a timely manner (in line with master time schedule) for the complete scope of the projects (continuity of the sales and tendering phases)
  • Prepares the shop Inspection and Test Programs (ITP) to the Customer in a timely manner
  • When requested by the Contract, delivers and controls (governance) the Quality Control Plans (QCP)/Inspection and Test Plans to the Customer in a timely manner
  • Participates in the Project reviews (monthly/quarterly/client) and ensure the quality aspects are covered
  • Ensures plans are in place to demonstrate conformance to Technical Regulation and Standards (TRS), local regulation and requirements.
  • Compiles Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ/CoQ) for the Project (costs from the project Cost controller and events). Proposes problem solving actions when necessary.
  • Prepare agenda, audit and actions tracking and ensure appropriate GE attendance for Customer audits
  • Review and report the quality metrics of the project internally to the Project Leader and externally to the Customer (as defined)
  • Ensures the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process and Customer deviation report managements are implemented and followed (governance: analysis, tracking, global reporting…)
  • Ensures the quality alert process is applied for high and critical deviation
  • Ensures overall governance of Customer Inspections (notification, attendance, reporting, action tracking…)
  • Leads / participates in all parts related RCAs (PSRs, 8Ds,etc).

Required Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical), National Diploma or equivalent from an accredited University or College
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a quality / manufacturing or engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management
  • Extensive knowledge about power plant technical processes

  • Proven project management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver results on time and on budget
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
