Job Description Summary

The Material Coordinator location is in Houston, TX. 77032 area by Bush Air Port - Warehouse will be responsible for coordinating, managing, problem-solving and work cross-functionally in support of the material flow between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet requirements of GE, Customers, and Suppliers.

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Communicate well in person, through email and phone with cross-functional departments, suppliers, and customers 
  • Coordinate work priorities based on business needs and be able to effectively communicate both internally and externally 
  • Preform Daily Cycle Counts & Inventory Reconciliation 
  • Coordinator USM & OH material transactions and Moves with Asset Management 
  • Analysis of Return Material Authorizations (RMA) from Customers and Coordinate the return to Stock. 
  • Analysis of WIP Returns from Depot and Coordinate the return to stock.
  • Accumulation of Hot Section and Blade Grind Kits for usage 
  • Manage Supplier Returns and complete RMA reversal transactions
  • Process Sale Order and WIP pick tickets 
  • Analysis and coordinator the packaging of material shipments to our Customers and Suppliers, based on designated country requirements 
  • Coordinate couriers based on cost, timing, & quality to meet Customer and Supplier commitments 
  • Manage and track department costs including invoices, budget, and project 
  • Maintain Organized warehouse/shipping racks and floor stocking locations 
  • Display computer literacy in Oracle ERP, ARMS, Logistics software tools & Microsoft Office 
  • Ensure all documents are completed in a timely fashion. All documents must comply with all Aero Alliance, federal, state, and country requirements for both the shipper and receiver. 
  • Understand project including scope of supply, fulfillment documents, timing, technical specifications, and any other requirements
  • Have basic knowledge and comply with Aero Alliance EHS regulations. Meet all EHS site and department requirements for handling all material including Hazmat. 
  • Root cause analysis and problem resolution  
  • Strong focus for process improvement and changes management 
  • Capability to actively work on multiple tasks at the same time 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED 
  • 2-3 year experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or storage yard 
  • Oracle User – Must be able to transact and problem solve inventory issues.
  • Ability to be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds 

Desired Characteristics:

  • Previous Material Handling experience   
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English language  
  • Advanced computer skills (Oracle, ARMS, MS Excel, Shipping Tools)  
  • Be able to read engineering drawings, Illustrated Parts Books, and Service and Product Bulletins 
  • Certified to operate a forklift or ability to be certified under Aero Alliance standards  
  • Certified in crane and rigging operations  
  • 2-3 year experience with barcode scanners
