Job Description Summary

As the Operational Readiness & Capital Integration Leader, you'll be responsible for leading the seamless integration of major transformational projects—including new capital, technology, automation, and significant process changes—into full operational control. This role ensures smooth transitions from project phase to business-as-usual, enabling the site to meet growth objectives and deliver on customer commitments.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Project Integration: Oversee the incorporation of major initiatives into business operations, ensuring full operational control is assumed by site teams.
  • Drive Adoption of Change: Champion the implementation and embedding of new systems, technologies, and processes, not just the handover.
  • Hands-On Experience: Utilize practical expertise in integrating complex projects, such as capital investments, technology upgrades, automation, or process enhancements.
  • Change Management: Guide teams through transitions, address resistance, and develop strategies to engage and align stakeholders throughout change.
  • Deliver Measurable Value: Ensure project benefits are released as per approval charters, translating objectives into tangible outcomes supporting business growth.
  • Project Schedule and Budget Management: Keep projects on track and within budget, maintaining financial and timeline targets.
  • Cross-Functional Team Building: Establish and coordinate teams from Production, Packaging, Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to support expansion and project milestones.
  • Strategic Project Engagement: Collaborate with project teams early to develop robust transition plans maximizing business impact.
  • Governance & Success Criteria: Lead programme governance, monitor success metrics, ensure readiness milestones are achieved, and manage scope and communication of key developments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Align priorities and resources with senior leadership and functional managers, fostering effective cross-functional collaboration and understanding of timelines and business needs.
  • End-User Engagement and Training: Involve end users throughout transitions and work with L&D providers to design training and upskilling to prepare teams for new systems or processes.
  • Sustainability & Continuous Improvement: Support site sustainability plans and incorporate lessons learned from previous projects into future programmes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Professional degree-level qualification required.
  • Proven experience in operational readiness, project transition, or large-scale transformation within manufacturing or healthcare.
  • Practical background in complex project integration, covering capital, technology, automation, or major process changes.
  • Expertise in project scheduling and financial management.
  • Experience leading teams or projects in fast-paced, complex environments.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to influence across functions.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and governance abilities.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, EHS standards, and production processes is highly desirable.
