Job Description Summary

We are seeking a Data Architect to help design and build comprehensive data solutions that will serve as the foundation for our digital transformation initiative. This role combines data architecture expertise with hands-on Power BI development, responsible for leveraging and extending existing enterprise data assets, implementing new ETL pipelines, and creating enterprise dashboards, while ensuring readiness for future AI initiatives.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Data Warehouse & ETL Development (40%)

  • Design enterprise data warehouse solutions using dimensional modeling and modern architecture patterns

  • Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using enterprise data integration platforms (e.g. Azure Data Factory, SSIS, etc.) to integrate data from multiple sources including Redshift

  • Assess, integrate, and extend existing enterprise data assets 

  • Implement data quality frameworks and automated monitoring systems

  • Establish data lineage tracking and metadata management processes for governance

Semantic Model Design & Power BI Development (40%)

  • Architect Power BI semantic models optimized for performance, scalability, and business usability

  • Integrate certified enterprise semantic models with custom data models to create comprehensive business intelligence solutions

  • Create sophisticated Power BI dashboards and reports with advanced DAX calculations and complex business logic

  • Build automated reporting solutions and self-service analytics capabilities

  • Design Power BI workspace structure, deployment pipelines, and version control processes

AI & Advanced Analytics Foundation Development (20%)

  • Design data architectures and semantic models with AI-readiness in mind for Copilot and generative AI integration

  • Create well-structured data models with proper metadata and context to support AI initiatives

  • Establish data quality and governance frameworks that will support AI model training and validation

  • Build semantic layers optimized for natural language processing and conversational analytics capabilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree with 6+ years of experience in data warehouse design and implementation

  • 4+ years of advanced Power BI development experience including complex semantic modeling

  • Expert-level DAX and Power Query (M language) skills for enterprise-scale data models

Desired Characteristics

  • Expert knowledge of dimensional modeling, star schema design and modern data architecture patterns

  • Strong proficiency with cloud data services and analytics platforms

  • Advanced SQL skills and database performance optimization experience

  • Demonstrated expertise with ETL/ ELT tools and data integration platforms

Power BI Development & Analytics

  • Experience with advanced Power BI features including calculated tables, measures and complex relationships

  • Knowledge of Power BI performance optimization, caching strategies and user experience design

  • Experience with Power BI Dataflows, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Platform integration

  • Experience evaluating and extending existing enterprise semantic models and certified dataflows

Technical & Development Skills

  • API development and integration patterns for data connectivity

  • Version control systems and collaborative development practices

  • Enterprise data consolidation from multiple source systems

  • Power BI workspace management and deployment pipelines

AI & Advanced Analytics Readiness

  • Understanding of data requirements for machine learning and AI Model integration

  • Knowledge of data preparation best practices that support AI initiatives

  • Experience with semantic layer design principles for natural language processing

We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $120,000.00-$180,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). GE HealthCare offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
