Job Description Summary

The Ultrasound segment, a fast-growing business within GE HealthCare, is the global leader in ultrasound medical devices and solutions. The portfolio spans the continuum of care, including screening, diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of diseases. Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) is a sub-segment of GE HealthCare Ultrasound, with focus on clinicians who take Ultrasound to the patient at the point of care (e.g., ED, CC, Anesthesia, MSK, and many others). Our products include console, laptop, and handheld ultrasound systems. Our customers are assessing or monitoring patients and need to improve efficiency and ability to document their findings and decisions into the EMR. Consequently, the need for digital solutions and automation, connecting devices and software in one seamless ecosystem. In addition, the need for partnerships both in the Digital domain and in adjacent clinical domains is becoming ever more important, to enable a rapid growth trajectory.

In this role, you will collaborate with engineering, marketing, and global sales teams to shape world-class ultrasound products. You’ll support hardware and software design, optimize image quality, lead scanning sessions, and contribute to external evaluations. Additionally, you’ll help develop impactful marketing materials and build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders worldwide. Job Description

What You will do:

  • Contribute to clinical aspects of product design to meet evolving customer needs

  • Collaborate with Clinical Insights Manager, Engineering and Product Managers to help facilitate the best and most attainable solutions for an optimal product release

  • Assist with development of new technologies for POC

  • Stay abreast of trends in POC through discussions with KOLs, social media, medical literature, conferences and other means

  • Contribute to evaluation all aspects of NPI prior to external evaluation

  • Contribute to the planning and support of External Evaluations for product releases

  • Assist with development and collection of high-quality marketing images

  • Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in POC

  • Provide product feedback and contribute fresh ideas 

  • Collaborate with Marketing and assist in development of materials as needed

  • Provide product support to sales, marketing and clinical application teams

  • Assist in preparation and contribute to global product launches

  • Understand, keep current and share information related to the competitive environment

  • Contribute to development and maintenance of product documents as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years' experience as Certified Radiology & Diagnostic Imaging technologist, Medical Technologist, Biomedical Engineer, or Physicist.

  • OR 8+ years' experience as Certified Radiology & Diagnostic Imaging technologist, Medical Technologist, Biomedical Engineer, or Physicist.

  • Candidate should be comfortable in a physician and clinical/patient care environment where live patients will be scanned

  • Demonstrated current basic clinical scanning proficiencies on current products/platforms.

  • Proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite products.

  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Successful candidate will be a self-starter, self-directed, team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment. 

  • Possess strong interpersonal and customer and management skills, has ability to work in high pressure environments and places personal and business integrity at forefront.

  • Understanding literature and standard of care for ED to define and lead clinical product development

Nice to have:

  • MD or equivalent clinical degree with hands on experience managing trauma in ED
