How You'll Create Possibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Support production by responding to equipment breakdowns and assist in determining root cause
  • Perform project and equipment installations.
  • Maintain and repair manual, electrical, and pneumatic tools
  • Maintain and operate computerized testing equipment PCs including updating, programming, and troubleshooting to ensure efficiency of test equipment.
  • Communicate and notify maintenance leaders of any equipment issues out of compliance
  • Administer and maintain CDRH equipment.
  • Perform scheduled PM routines, Repairs and Overhauls of Existing Equipment/processes
  • Monitor system performance and develop action plans to improve identified issues such as reliability, quality and safety
  • Continually observe equipment and processes for abnormal conditions and work to make repairs as needed
  • Maintain and operate Program Logic Controller (PLC) units including updating, programming, and troubleshooting to ensure efficiency of test equipment
  • Design, Install and support Lean Signaling Systems for plant
  • Support production by responding to urgent requests for system up-time, complete safety work orders and PMs in a timely manner
  • Monitor system performance and develop action plans to improve identified issues such as reliability, quality and safety
  • Support essential Factory Information Systems (FIS)

What You'll Bring to Our Team

  • Read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Modify test equipment as needed to meet test requirements due to product updates.
  • Build serial cables
  • Give inputs on new and relocated equipment installations.
  • Understand the operation and application of plant equipment
  • Actively participate in maintenance teams
  • Participate in process/yield improvement, uptime improvement, and cost-reduction teams
  • Order parts/materials following plant procedures
  • Comply with the Roper Corporation Quality Operating System
  • Understand and follow spare parts and store room procedures
  • Continually observe equipment/processes for abnormal conditions and work to make repairs as needed
  • Update/enter information into plant Computer Maintenance System as necessary
  • Record reading and measurements as appropriate
  • Work with and assist contractors on projects
  • Ensure all team members wear proper PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment)

Identify potential unsafe situations, implements corrective actions including the application of ergonomic principals, and all accident/safety procedures while handling the situation

EDUCATION: High school diploma or G.E.D. required.  Two-year degree in electronic or electrical training or equivalent in military training.

Preferred:

Industrial maintenance certificate or completion of the General Maintenance Skills Upgrade Program. Possess knowledge of test equipment, calibration procedures, ESD equipment, motors, pneumatic principles, AC/DC circuits, digital and analog principles, and specified EHS training.

EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience in an industrial maintenance environment or 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment. 

SKILLS/ABILITIES: MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH ELECTRICAL DEVICES. Must possess the ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical functions at the high school level.  Ability to read and follow schematic diagrams and blueprints.  Must be able to use and understand the uses of various types of test equipment.  Must be able to see and manipulate machine parts smaller than ¼”.  Must be able to read equipment manuals as well as electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

The employee must be able or be able to learn to program, update, and troubleshoot PLCs, PCs, and Intel 186 computers.  Ability to operate personal computer software including Windows, Word, and Excel as well as possessing keyboarding skills is required.  Full understanding of the safety requirements and use of hand tools is required.

Near visual acuity, primary color discrimination and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, precision measuring instruments and computer screens.  Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes and take appropriate action.

Employee must have the ability to work on his/her own with no direct, constant supervision.  The employee must be comfortable performing the essential job functions and feel comfortable being held accountable for their completion.

Ability to perform essential job functions of stated job position, with or without an accommodation, including, but not limited to: Frequent handling and lifting of parts/equipment; frequent standing, walking, reaching at waist level, bending, pushing/pulling, grasping, pinching, fine motor coordination, and neck flexion; occasional sitting, reaching overhead, reaching at shoulder level, reaching at knee and floor level, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs/ladders, pivoting, twisting, neck extension/rotation, and shoulder circumduction.  Handling, lifting, and carrying parts/equipment (minimum 62 lbs.)   

EQUIPMENT/JOB TOOLS: Basic shop equipment including but not limited to hand tools, welders, saws, grinders, grease gun, fork truck and overhead crane.  Ability or ability to learn to operate and repair PLCs, PCs, Intel 186s, manual, electrical, and pneumatic tools, tape machines, and other equipment or tools as specified.  Ability to operate digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, decade boxes, etc.
