As a Material Planner at Roper Corp, your role is heavily focused on managing raw and purchased component management. You will directly work with the supply base on timely shipment and receipt of material to support a high-speed manufacturing environment. The planner is also responsible for working with inbound transportation to track and coordinate Just in Time arrival of material. This position is 100% onsite.

How You'll Create Possibilities

You will be heavily involved in Bill of material accuracy, New Model planning and excess/obsolescence analysis, and all logistics improvement projects.

  • Material planning and coordinating to ensure part availability for production including proactive and responsive problem solving with suppliers.
  • Drive and support all activities that improve Inventory Accuracy, Bill of Material Accuracy, Part Excess/Obsolescence analysis, New Model Introduction, and logistics planning.
  • Participate in logistics improvement projects including RWIP reduction, Supplier capacity data collection, and analysis, Returnable packing improvements.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships with existing and new suppliers.
  • Coordinate and manage any schedule changes or supply shortages with the scheduling team to have the least impact on manufacturing.
  • Assist with the cycle counting process to maintain accurate inventory counts.
  • Participate in the phase in and phase out of model lines, controlling part availability for successful model line launches, and obsolescence when models are discontinued
  • Create new processes to improve supplier performance, reduce expedites, and reduce inventory without causing downtime on the production lines.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Working understanding of MRP systems

  • Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain concepts and parts flow
  • Effective communication skills
  • Flexibility and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks
  • Must possess sound judgment, planning, and systematic skills to relate to management, production, and supply base contacts
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Outstanding people skills, with the ability to drive teams to drive exceptional results
  • Understanding of Appliance Industry
