The Senior Combustion Aero Design Lead is responsible for leading design, development and validation of gas turbine combustion systems, including the development of rig and engine test campaigns, their planning and monitoring, as well as their data reduction and documentation. In this role you will learn processes that meet business needs across the organization, participate in solving complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Detailed Aerodynamic analysis, design, and test functions required to define components, assemblies, and systems that meet program and product requirements

  • Use and development of engineering tools to perform aerodynamic evaluations

  • Successful planning, design and execution of test programs

  • Compliant communications of aero technical data

  • Basic technical implications of business CTQ’s

  • Lean / Six Sigma

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master’s degree (preferred) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university with a focus on combustion aerodynamics

  • Strong experience as design engineer in aerodynamics

  • Substantial NPI/NTI experience in combustion aerodynamics design and validation

  • Fluent English and Italian knowledge

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
