Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

QMS Ownership and Strategy:

  • Lead the end-to-end QMS: governance, documentation, change control, and management review cadence.
  • Maintain certification(s) to AS9100 and other regulatory standards
  • Define and track Quality System KPIs; Use FLIGHT DECK tools to drive reviews/actions to meet targets.

Compliance, Certification, and Audits:

  • Serve as primary liaison for external audits (certification bodies, customers, regulators) and internal assessments.
  • Plan and oversee the internal audit program: schedule, auditor training, risk-based audit plans, reports, and follow-up.
  • Ensure timely and effective CAPA responses to audit findings and customer escapes

Document and Records Control:

  • Own controlled documents, procedures, work instructions, forms, and records retention practices.
  • Drive standardization and simplification of processes and documentation.

Production Quality System Integration:

  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to embed QMS requirements into daily operations.

Customer and Regulatory Interface:

  • Ensure timely, accurate quality system responses to customer requirements, scorecards, and PPAP/FAI packages (as applicable).
  • Monitor regulatory changes and standard revisions; lead gap analyses and implementation plans.

Transformation:

  • Lead QMS transformation efforts within the shop
  • Partner with Safety Management System Leader to develop robust QMS/SMS overlap

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited  college or university  +  Minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance experience
