Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Engineering Internship will help you experience the excitement of a career in engineering, where you can have real impact on GE Aerospace’s products and customers around the world.

In the GE Aerospace Engineering Internship, you will: 

  • Work on 1-2 engineering projects over 6-9 months in a discipline aligned to your expertise
  • Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas 
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to develop innovative technologies for GE Aerospace
  • Receive technical insights, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists
  • Share project progress internally and externally through presentations, written reports, and IP disclosure

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Pursuing Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering
  • Strong fundamentals, domain knowledge and analytical skills
  • Execution mindset, self-driven with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a global team environment

Desired Characteristics:

  • Shown expertise in the fields of structural mechanics, FEM, Mechanical Design
  • Proficiency in simulation software (e.g. ANSYS, NX, HYPERMESH)
