About the opportunity

The Senior Manager, Workplace Behaviour and Conduct plays a pivotal role in fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace culture at the University. This position provides strategic leadership in managing and resolving staff-related complaints, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation, and mitigating reputational and operational risks. In addition to overseeing investigations and complaint-handling processes, the role drives proactive strategies for prevention and early resolution, develops robust systems for monitoring trends, and contributes to policy development and capability building across the institution. This is an opportunity to influence positive change and uphold the University’s commitment to integrity, trust, and excellence.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • lead and improve University-wide complaint handling systems and processes

  • oversee fair and timely resolution of staff-related complaints, including complex cases

  • develop proactive strategies for prevention and early resolution of workplace issues

  • ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and risk management standards

  • manage and support a team, fostering a culture of respect and accountability

  • contribute to policy development and initiatives that promote a safe, inclusive workplace.

About you

  • expertise in handling, managing and resolving workplace complaints, including complex and sensitive matters

  • skilled in developing proactive strategies for prevention and early resolution of issues

  • strong leadership capability with experience managing teams and fostering a respectful culture

  • proven ability to ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and risk management standards

  • excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • ability to contribute to policy development and initiatives that promote a safe, inclusive workplace.
