About this role:

Director, Quality Assurance will directly manage QA team and will provide leadership in the development of test strategies, design, build, review, execution, and automation of test cases.

What you will do: 

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

• Develop and implement a comprehensive, long-term Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering strategy that aligns with the company's goals and growth plans.

• Establish and enforce QA best practices, processes, and standards across teams, covering functional, non-functional, performance, and security testing.

• Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness of QA initiatives, providing actionable insights and reports to senior leadership. 

• Lead the integration of AI/ML technologies into testing frameworks to optimize outcomes, enhance efficiency, and increase test coverage.

• Champion a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration of new AI/ML techniques and methodologies within the QE teams. 

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, cross-functional team of QA engineers, automation specialists

What you will need

Strong IT professional with 11-16 years of experience in software testing (websites and/or mobile applications). The candidate should have strong qualitative and quantitative critical thinking skills along with high on ownership and accountability.

Must have:

• 11-16 years of experience in QA, including a minimum of 4 years in a management position.

• Hands on exposure to AI driven testing. Understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in quality engineering, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms, and experience with data analysis and quality management systems.

• Hands on experience in Nightwatch, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, JMeter, Cucumber, Appium, Postman, and Report Portal

• Experience implementing and enforcing standards for manual and automated testing.

• Experience leading automation scripting and expertise in Java and/or JavaScript. Experience in developing/maintaining Test automation frameworks.

• Experience in estimation, prioritization, and planning/coordination of QA activities in a Scrum environment

• Solid experience in SQL queries and database testing.

• Experience leading project teams as well as coaching and developing direct reports and partnering with managers of other teams or domain areas.

Who you are

• Graduate/Postgraduate in BE/B tech, ME/MTech or MCA are preferred.

• Excellent communication and prioritization skills.

• Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.

• Owns success – Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions.

• Ardent desire to improve upon their skills in software development, frameworks, and technologies.
