GFT is seeking a Resident Engineer to join our Construction Services Group in New Jersey! This role follows an onsite work model and presents an exciting opportunity to lead critical construction efforts on large-scale highway and transportation projects in New Jersey.

What you’ll be challenged to do:

As a Resident Engineer, you will oversee the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. If you’re an experienced professional seeking an opportunity to grow with a team that values expertise and innovation, we’d love to hear from you.

 

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

  • Provide overall leadership and management for construction projects.
  • Maintain comprehensive construction project records.
  • Oversee interactions with clients and inspection staff on contract change orders, item payments, and material testing.
  • Conduct project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Develop monthly progress reports.

What you will bring to our firm:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License in New Jersey.
  • 15+ years of experience in construction management.
  • Prior experience as an Assistant Resident Engineer or Resident Engineer.
  • Experience working with the New Jersey Turnpike Authority or NJDOT.

What we prefer you bring:

  • Experience with airport projects.
  • Certifications such as Rutgers TCC, NJSAT, ACI (preferred).

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 per year. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
