Job Description
Gameloft is looking for an 3D Gameplay Animator to join the team working on Disney Dreamlight Valley, a cross-platform hybrid life-sim/adventure game available on multiple platforms!
Filled with quests, exploration, and engaging activities featuring iconic Disney and Pixar characters, Disney Dreamlight Valley is an original Gameloft production created by a passionate team eager to welcome you!

Qualifications
From the beginning of your adventure with us, you will be tasked with:
- Creating high-quality, visually stunning animations of stylized characters and creatures
- Taking part in the creation and management of animation systems in the Unity game engine
- Identifying and helping resolve technical and artistic problems related to animations
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure that animations accurately meet design objectives
- Participating actively in the development of tools and technologies, and efficiently contributing to the animation pipeline
- Overseeing the quality of game assets and making improvements where needed to meet technical constraints and performance objectives
- Respecting production deadlines and schedules of the project
- Helping document and communicate workflows and best practices to ensure consistency in the animation team
Qualifications
- Proven professional experience in the video game industry upheld by a real passion for video games
- High-quality portfolio showcasing animations related to video games, preferably highlighting stylization and gameplay
- Advanced knowledge of 3D animation software
- Expert knowledge of keyframe animation principles and techniques
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with other teams
- Excellent ability to understand and follow the technical and aesthetic requirements defined by the project managers
- Understanding of game engine animation systems and tools to create complex animation behavior
- Solid problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve animation problems in a game engine
- Good understanding of the game mechanics as it relates to character animation
- Efficient time management and the ability to meet deadlines
Assets
- Portfolio with multiple released titles
- Advanced skills with Autodesk and 3ds Max
- Professional experience with the Unity game engine
- Cinematography experience (cameras, editing, narration)
