Role – Installation Electrician

Location: UK – working across Thames Water and Anglian Water regions (travel required)

 

We’re looking for an experienced Installation Electrician to join our growing Electrical Installation team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical installations safely and efficiently, in line with client specifications, standards, and AVRS Electrical Safety Rules.

You’ll play a key part in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation, and maintaining the highest standards of workmanship. This is a hands-on role that involves travel across multiple sites within the Thames Water and Anglian Water regions.

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Complete electrical installation works safely and to the highest standards, in compliance with project specifications and quality plans. 
  • Engage with and promote AVRS’s positive safety culture. 
  • Ensure all Health & Safety legislation and regulations are adhered to. 
  • Coach and mentor Electrical Improvers and Apprentices. 
  • Work collaboratively as part of a growing team to deliver projects successfully.

About you:

Essential 

  • Ability to interpret electrical installation drawings (SLD, BCD termination drawings) and complete installations with minimal supervision. 
  • Appropriate trade qualifications. 
  • Industrial experience. 
  • CSCS, ECS, or CCNSG card. 
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail. 
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Willingness to travel and stay away when required. 
  • Positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Desirable

  • SSSTS or equivalent. 
  • EUSR Water Hygiene. 
  • Experience in the Water Industry. 
  • PASMA / IPAF / Confined Space certification. 
  • Fitness-to-work medical. 
  • Emergency First Aid or First Aider qualification.
