How you'll make an impact

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to evolve the Reinsurer Engagement strategic plan by aggregating Exec and regional needs supplemented by ongoing assessment of successful outcomes.
  • Lead the implementation of the Reinsurer Engagement plan determining the priority and type of engagement needed with each reinsurer. Engagement priorities should focus on strategic alignment, revenue growth impacts and client needs (direct or indirect).
  • Clearly define and communicate priorities for each relationship, developing comprehensive action plans and ensuring consistent follow-ups.
  • Monitor and document key takeaways from executive meetings, ensuring follow-through on action items and providing regular progress updates.
  • Partner with appropriate stakeholders to create content for strategy meetings.
  • Track and analyse reinsurer performance and review external messaging such as investor day topics to inform planning strategies and incorporation into action plans.
  • Source and execute opportunities for revenue growth via new capacity creation, strategic identification of reinsurers for given opportunities, performance tracking and coordination with retro teams, consulting engagements or other similar scenarios.
  • Facilitate reinsurer surveys for use in internal evaluations and to provide reinsurers’ feedback and peer review to drive improving outcomes.
  • Oversee the advancement of reinsurer analysis tools and placement data utilisation, for internal and external consumption driving dynamic responsiveness to reinsurer behaviors and more targeted placement and engagement strategies.
  • Identify and evaluate potential opportunities across the Gallagher footprint.
  • These duties emphasise clarity, leadership, and strategic coordination.

About You

  • Proven experience within a similar role is essential.
  • A proven track record of successful leadership in strategic planning and execution with the successful delivery of business growth in reinsurance.
  • Experience leading the development and execution of a strategic client/market engagement plan.
  • Connector in chief, with the ability to work across multiple global stakeholders in a complex matrix report line structure.
  • Exceptional organisational skills to ensure focus remains on engagement, strategic alignment and positive impacts on revenue.
  • Track record in leveraging data visualisations to drive a story/strategy.
