Senior Market Access & Pricing Manager

Career Stream Purpose

The Senior Market Access & Pricing Manager will design and execute the end-to-end market access and pricing strategy, ensuring optimal reimbursement, coverage, and institutional adoption across Private and Public markets. This role will focus on private payers (insurance companies and specialty care channels) and public institutions, including submissions and engagement with the National Health Council (Consejo de Salubridad General – CSG), IMSS, ISSSTE, IMSS Bienestar and Descentralized institutions.
The role requires strong cross-functional leadership, advanced negotiation capabilities, and a deep understanding of health economics, reimbursement systems, technology assessment, evidence-based review, economic modelling and institutional processes within the Mexican healthcare ecosystem.

  Level Differentiator

  •  Typically a highly experienced manager who is accountable for a specific area within a nominated job family at Global/Regional level or may even lead the job family at country level
  •  Responsible for short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and operational direction
  •  Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis and solved based on functional knowledge and methodologies                                                                                                                                                                         
  •  Typically Reports to L2/L1

 

 Career Stream Tasks

  • Provide input to and lead implementation of Market Access & Pricing strategy for Private and Public markets to support integration of pricing and reimbursement, technology assessment, evidence-based review, and economic modelling
  • Develop Market Access & Pricing plans to implement an integrated approach to payers with a solid value proposition from early development, through and beyond loss of exclusivity
  • Private Market (Insurance companies & HMOs): Responsible of developing the value strategy and lead negotiations with insurance companies, HMOs and Private market wholesalers
  • Public Market (CSG, IMSS, ISSSTE, IMSS Bienestar and OG)
    - Lead the preparation and coordination of technical and economic dossiers for submissions to the NHC
  • Manage institutional submission processes and follow-up with IMSS and ISSSTE, ensuring alignment with institutional requirements.
  • Coordinate responses to technical reviews, clarifications, and prevention notices.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with institutional and policy stakeholders.
  • HEOR, Value Dossiers & Evidence Generation: Lead localization and development of value dossiers, economic impact models, and cost-effectiveness analyses. Support generation and use of local real-world evidence and epidemiological data to strengthen access strategies.
  • Pricing, Contracting & Governance:
    - Co-lead pricing strategy by segment, ensuring alignment with access and business objectives.
    - Support contract development and governance of discounts, rebates, and access agreements in collaboration with Legal and Finance.
  • Institutional Tender management (when applicable):
    - Provide strategic access input to institutional tender planning and forecasting.
    - Support risk assessment related to supply continuity, pricing structures, compliance and HC system changes
  • Remain updated with market development and new updates and work with Economics/Outcomes Research to assist in design pricing strategy

  Stakeholders

  •  Communicate and influence senior business leaders outside of own job area to accept practices and approaches
  • Cross-functional work with Medical, Commercial, Regulatory and other functional areas
  • Develop strong, trusting relationships with senior business leaders across Galderma
  •  Cooperate with and coordinate activities with external service providers
  •  May lead negotiations in Private and Public markets

  

Management Responsibility

  •  Manage a department or a unit that includes multiple (usually 2 or more) experienced managers, professionals and/or other Team Leaders
  •  Executes on short to mid-term operational plans for optimizing the organization and hires new talent when needed
  •  Has budget accountability for own job  family / area and/or manage elements of the budget.

  • Master's / Bachelors Degree / PhD in Specialist areas
  • English: Advanced level
