As an integral member of our National Airports team based in our Mile End, South Australian office, you will be responsible for providing mechanical support to the National Airports Team by working autonomously around Australia. Please note, this role include rostered working away from home on a rostered schedule (a range of allowances will be paid in addition to base salary)

Role responsibilities include:

• Setup, maintain and dismantle mobile asphalt plants for airport projects.
• Complete plant commissioning and safety checklists.
• Conduct job inspections.
• Manage onsite safety, quality, and environmental requirements to meet Fulton Hogan and client requirements.
• Liaise with management, supervisors and other key stakeholders during contract works.
• Field based duties including site visits for breakdowns, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Major and minor servicing and repairs of plant and equipment, including repairs and fault-finding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Support fixed plant depots around the country where required.

We are seeking:

• A trade qualified plant mechanic or motor trade experience within a site construction-based environment.
• Demonstrated experience in a workshop or site maintenance environment with fault diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised servicing and maintaining our mobile and fixed plant fleet.
• Valid manual drivers licence essential.
• Self-starter with initiative and desire to learn new skills and develop others.
• Ability/willingness to travel interstate if required (sometimes at short notice)
