We are seeking an experienced Franna Crane Operator to join our Fulton Hogan Utilities team, working on our newly awarded 10-year program of works for the City of Gold Coast. In this role you'll be responsible for:

  • Operating Franna cranes and other mobile lifting equipment safely and efficiently to support construction and maintenance activities across water and wastewater infrastructure projects

  • Performing pre-start checks, daily inspections, and basic maintenance on cranes to ensure equipment remains in safe working order

  • Safely lifting, moving, and positioning loads in accordance with site lift plans, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and exclusion zones

  • Working closely with Dogmen, Riggers, and Supervisors to plan and execute lifts effectively and safely

  • Assisting with general site duties and equipment movements when not operating machinery

  • Maintaining accurate daily plant records and reporting any faults, hazards, or near misses promptly.

How you'll connect to the role:

  • Current High-Risk Work Licence (CN or C2 and above) – Franna operation essential and Construction White Card

  • Proven experience operating Franna cranes safely in a civil, utilities, or infrastructure environment

  • Knowledge of load charts, lift planning, and exclusion zone management

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with Dogmen and site crews

  • Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets (desirable), current driver’s licence and reliable transport to attend various project sites

  • Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and adapt to changing site priorities
