Join our dynamic team as a Chip seal Operator in Bay of Plenty. We’re looking for dedicated individuals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. If you thrive in a hands-on-environment and have a passion for road construction, we want to hear from you!
You will be responsible for general tasks, assisting and supporting our sealing crew across the Bay of Plenty Region and beyond. Your daily activities will involve the correct recording of plant, labour, and materials in accordance with company procedures. You will undertake daily machinery checks and complete the necessary maintenance. You will be assisting the crew with operating chip spreaders and as a spotter for reversing trucks.
Flexibility is a must as you will be required to work up to 12 hours per day when we are busy and 8 hours (min.) daily but may be required to work periods of night shift. Weekly hours between 40 hours (min) Monday to Friday and 70 hours (max). The work will involve stay aways for extended periods of time.
In addition to the above you will:
Operate and maintain chip seal machinery and equipment to ensure high-quality road surfaces.
Work collaboratively with a skilled team to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards at all times.

We’re looking for someone with:
Experience in operating chip seal machinery and equipment in road construction projects.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality work.
Ability to work effectively in a team, demonstrating reliability, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude.
Class 2-5, WTR and DG Licenses desirable.
Good understanding of safety protocols and industry standards, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
